Sarah has spent another day on a flat, S-shaped island just off of Thompson Landing. Conditions have deteriorated and she is in a gale with 35 mph winds with rain. One can only imagine what that is like on what looks to be a relatively flat island exposed to the full force of the winds and waves.
The winds are forecast to diminish to 20 mph by morning and through Wednesday and the rain will be tapering off. On Thursday and Friday the winds are forecast to drop to 15 mph. This might allow Sarah to make some forward progress towards her Saturday rendezvous with the bush plane.
