Jim Dykema, Bob Phillips and Sarah Hartman joined me on this paddle. Jim left his house at 4:00 making me wonder did I schedule this too early? The trip down the dells is always magical. Sarah suggested I add a drysuit and flashlight to the required equipment for Witches gulch. This bordered on heresy to me. Being cold and in the dark is part of the allure to me. We enjoyed the cliffs, the canyons and a snack on Blackhawk island. I always enjoy the feedback I get from fell ow paddlers on this trip. Hope to see more of you next year.
